Julero - our Christmas album is released!
We're proud to present our third CD - Julero. It's a Christmas album with traditional and beloved Christmas songs with lyrics in Norwegian, recorded at Kirkelig Kulturverksted. All the songs are arranged by the members of PUST, including a couple of new songs. The title of the album - Julero - means Christmas calm or peace. That indicates an album in a relaxing mood and hopefully you'll find your own Christmas peace by listening to this music. Please send us an email if you want to order the CD. New member
We are very pleased to present Camilla Susann Haug as a new member of PUST. Welcome to our group, Camilla! Camilla is a freelance singer, composer and vocal teacher. Her first project with us will be the Christmas tour in December. Until then Bodil Lunde Rørtveit will be the substitute on our concerts in the next couple of months. We're looking forward to another chapter in our history! (Sept11)
Christmas album is on the way
Last month our next album was recorded at Kirkelig Kulturverksted. We are very satisfied with our work and we're looking forward to the release 11th of November. All the songs will be in Norwegian, but hopefully all of you will be in Christmas mood after listening to it. If you like ballads or traditional Christmas songs in distinctive versions you'll love this album. The recording week was also our last project with our dearest mezzo Jorunn Lovise. Thanks for everything we've shared and experienced together for the last 5 years. We'll miss you JLo!

Searching for a soprano/mezzo
PUST is searching for a new member of the group (soprano/mezzo). Jorunn Lovise is moving to Stavanger (western part of Norway) this summer and unfortunately have to end her chapter as PUST-singer. We'll miss you JLo!! Hopefully we'll find a well qualified substitute. Do you want to apply, or know someone who might be interested? The deadline for application is 15th of August.

Studio recording in August
It's time for summer vacation, before preparation and recording of our third album in beginning of August. That will be a Christmas album recorded at Kirkelig Kulturverksted. We have prepared nearly 20 self-arranged Christmas songs and hopefully this will be a beautiful and evocative album. All the songs will be in Norwegian, but even fans from abroad will recognize many of the melodies as some of the most beloved Christmas songs in the world. (June11)

Wonderful festivals in Aarhus and Hannover!
PUST enjoyed our tour in Denmark and Germany in May. Great being part of such big festivals. The weekend in Aarhus was amazing! Thanks to all friends who made this festival such a great experience! It gives a lot of energy and motivation to meet 700 colleagues and friends, getting new friends and share our music. Our stay and performances at A Cappella Woche in Hannover were also such a great experience. Thanks! (May11)
A child is born
PUST congratulate our beloved mezzo Jorunn Lovise and her husband Oddgeir with their first-born child who was born in early April! About 4 hours after Jorunn Lovise was in studio singing Winnie the Pooh-songs with Pust, her son came to the world.
Bodil Lunde Rørtveit (formerly Apes&Babes) will be her stand-in for some concerts in the next six months, including in May on stage in Aarhus and Hannover. Bodil has extensive experience as an ensemble singer and she is a versatile singer who is well suited PUST. We're looking forward to sing together! (Apr11)
A Cappella Woche Hannover
Directly from Aarhus and Denmark, PUST will travel to another vocal festival in Europe - A Cappella Woche in Hannover (Germany). This festival also includes major international vocal groups on the poster, this year you can listen to The Hilliard Ensemble, VocaMe, Eva Quartet, Postyr among others. ...and PUST! We will have a concert on our own at a beautiful castle at Tuesday 10th of May and also contribute to the final concert Sunday 15th. (Apr11)
Aarhus Vocal Festival
PUST is one of the main artists at Aarhus Vocal Festival, the largest Nordic festival of contemporary vocal music. The festival will be held 6th - 9th of May, and PUST will give the opening concert Friday night.
It's still possible to sign up for the festival! It presents an amazing programme with some of the world's greated artists and most talented instructors in vocal music. AAVF offers concerts, competitions for choirs and vocal groups, coaching, night stage, morning singing etc - everything any vocal enthusiast could wish for.

Christmas all year long
PUST will be in Christmas mood throughout 2011! We arrange and rehearse on Christmas repertoire this winter/spring, our Christmas album will be recorded at Kirkelig Kulturverksted in August and released in November before going on extensive release-tour in December.

Happy New Year!
2011 will be an exciting year for PUST. Our first performance this year will be among polar bears and jazz enthusiasts in Longyearbyen 4th of February. Polarjazz on Svalbard is the world's northernmost jazz festival, in the middle of the Arctic Ocean. We are looking forward to it a lot! We also know that we will travel abroad quite a few times this year. In May you will see us on stage at the vocal festivals in Aarhus and Hannover. All the best wishes for 2011 to all our fans! Christmas Tour 2010
The first real Christmas Tour of PUST; 10 concerts in Eastern and Southern Norway. A successful tour with some brand new arrangements and songs that our fans appreciated a lot. Our concerts offered some peace of mind, and hopefully our beautiful Christmas songs and arrangements will be recorded in 2011 and releasing our 3rd album before our next Christmas Tour. (Nov10)
VokaLarm 2010 - the first groovy vocal festival in Norway
PUST are one of 6 invited guest ensembles of VokaLarm in Trondheim, 7th - 10th of October 2010. VokaLarm welcomes both well-established groups and choirs, but also those who are just curious and want to learn about vocal group singing.
VokaLarm offer a range of workshops, seminars and concerts. We are confident that you will find content both for development and inspiration!
Beside PUST you can hear Vocal Group Cosmos (Latvia), Apes&Babes (Norway), Trondheim Voices (Norway), Pitsj (Norway) and Rajaton (Finland). PUST didn't receive any CARA award this time, but we are 'runner up' in the category of best folk/world album!

PUST and our newest album Kry are nominated in 4 categories by the Comtemporary A Cappella Recording Awards 2010! 'Best folk/world album', 'Best folk/world song' (En Reell Halling), 'Best European Album' and 'Best Professional Original Song' (Usynlig composed by Elisabeth Anvik). PUST visited Voice Mania in Vienna
16th of November PUST had a concert together with Club for Five (Finland) at the Voice Mania festival in Vienna. It was a great evening; wonderful concert hall, lovely audience, and a great festival. Check out some pictures from our concert!

Release - KRY
PUST's second album was released last September. KRY includes songs composed by members of the group, and all the lyrics will be in Norwegian. We hope you will like ut anyway. PUST’s music is meant to be international.

PUST in concert with The Manhattan Transfer
PUST was invited to international vocal festivals in Germany and Austria this autumn. Early October we had a concert together with The Manhattan Transfer at Vocal Jazz Summit in Mainz. World class ensembles like The Real Group and The Swingle Singers were also invited to this festival. An amazing weekend!

PUST shared the stage with Bobby McFerrin
May 6th, 2009, Bobby McFerrin gave a concert at the Oslo Concert Hall, and PUST was invited to improvise with him. A great experience!
The concert was a part of a project called Hele Norge Synger, focusing everyone's joy in singing.
